Joining the Green movement in Simcoe North means becoming part of a growing community committed to ecological wisdom, social justice, grassroots democracy, and nonviolence—principles enshrined in the Global Green Charter and shared by both the federal and provincial Green parties.

Two Parties, One Movement

It’s important to know that while the Green Party of Canada (GPC) and the Green Party of Ontario (GPO) both work toward a more sustainable and just future, they are separate political parties. They function independently, focusing on different levels of government—federal and provincial—but share common values and often collaborate.

In Simcoe North, most of our active members belong to both parties. That’s because we believe real change happens across all levels of government, and we’re ready to roll up our sleeves whenever an election is called—whether for Queen’s Park or Parliament Hill.
