Respect for diversity
We value and respect the Earth’s natural diversity as well as the cultural, linguistic, ethnic, sexual, religious, and spiritual diversity of all people. Everyone has the right to an environment that supports their dignity, health, and well-being. We believe in building positive and respectful relationships across different groups in our multicultural society.
The Simcoe North Greens honour and uphold the rights of Indigenous peoples to the essential resources needed for both economic and cultural survival, including rights to land, water and self-determination. We also recognize and honour contributions to the shared heritage of national and global cultures.

Respect for diversity in Simcoe North
In Simcoe North, we deeply respect the rich diversity that defines our region, both ecologically and culturally. We are proud to be one of the last places on Earth where Ice Age grasses still thrive, and we are committed to preserving this unique natural heritage. Culturally, Simcoe North is home to a vibrant mix of communities, including Indigenous and Métis populations, as well as French and English-speaking residents. Our region also welcomes new Canadians from all over the world, enriching our society with their diverse traditions and perspectives. Together, we celebrate and protect the ecological and cultural diversity that makes Simcoe North a special place to live.
